Self Critique
A)
1. 7
2.I think the story could be fleshed out more especially the end
3.I feel like this was very good experience for the first time ever doing this, I enjoyed it and I want to continue with future projects.
4.The story is about a man that is given a choice, and his decision he later comes comes to regret. Most of the story is about the interaction between the two characters as they meet for the first time.
5.The theme is about the weight of actions or decisions that might have dire effects in the end. It is also about greed and redemption.
B)
1.I think the beginning and end are both a little hazy, I think scene 2 does a good job of explaining the origin but I don't think there is enough telling the rest of the story.
2.the shots where the stranger explains the napkin and why he chose michael were my favorite, the end was too short and needs more.
C)
1.I think scene 2 (the bar) turned out well, but again, I think the end could use more dialogue.
2. I think the bar scene definitely needs more variety in the shots, we should have chosen a better location to put the two actors. there are too many shots of them facing the wall. I did not really notice this until editing, I will take this as a learning experience for later projects. As far as shots are concerned, I think we handled the last scene well. We ran out of time on location and so the lighting is not consistent, because it got dark, but I think the location of the camera was not bad. I will give it a 7 overall because of its inconsistency.
3. I think the dialogue was strong, the cinematography was a little weak and the story was not fleshed out enough.
D)
1.I think the dialogue is good. I think the story is good it just needs more, it is too short in it's execution and just needs more time to play out. I think the variety of shots is a little bland, but I am proud of what we got done on our first try. This is definitely a good learning experience. I will take everything that I like about it and expand upon that in the future. For everything that wasn't working, now I know they areas I need to work on.
2. I think the weakest part is just the shot variety, much of that has to do with where we placed our actors. I know now that I need to place my actors in locations where I can get a large variety of shot angles that I can play with during the edit.

Pitch for Final Project
A comedy shot documentary style much like the show "Cops". Instead of following cops, it will follow strange people doing mundane everyday tasks. I want it to be a comedy with a lot of improve, I don't know how it is going to work but I will try my best. As far as a crew, I will only need a cameraman( myself) and someone to hold the boom mic. It will have three short scenes featuring one main character in each. I want to cast some of my friends for the roles, not sure who yet. I do not have everything planned out yet, but hopefully I can make this happen. This will not be my personal script project. I am taking digital cinema 2 next semester and I am planning on using my script for that class.

Movie Review: "Taxi Driver"
This is one of my favorite movies. It explores the gray area between what is right and wrong. A mentally unstable taxi driver commits un lawful actions for the good of what he believes is morally right. It leaves you asking yourself, can evil actions can be considered good sometimes.
My Goals
Lighting
Audio
Transitions
Editing
Camera angles
Script Writing
These are the categories I want to improve. I have never really considered lighting in any of animations, so it is an area i really want to explore. I have also never used any real audio or voice work in animation, so that is another important goal for me. Transitioning is another area I need to work on as well as editing. Writing is probably the area I need to work on the most. I can come up with a good idea for a story, but I have a hard time fleshing it out.
